J’étais anxieux à l’idée de reprendre les commandes. Quelques peurs infondées avaient refait surface. Mais il fallait que je m’y remette. C’est trop bête d’avoir tant investi pour mettre cela de coté.
J’y suis allé dimanche. J’ai poussé les lourdes portes du hangar, tirer à bout de bras ses 700 Kg et je me suis installé aux commandes. J’ai déroulé la check-list. Consciencieusement, comme pour me rassurer, j’ai répété mes prières : Commandes libres dans le bon sens, carburant, huile, hélice, volets… Tout vérifié. Aligné au seuil de la piste, j’ai envoyé toute la puissance. La piste a déroulé sous mes roues, la vitesse a augmenté, jusqu’à 110 Km/h.

Dès que les roues ont quitté le sol, tout est revenu en un éclair, un flash-back.
« Ça vole. »
Afficher la puissance, la trajectoire, tenir l’altitude. Tout est revenu. Ne penser qu’à ça. Rien d’autre dans ma tête qui ne perturbe ma conscience. Voila, c’est cela l’essentiel, tenir le cap, s’en tenir au plan de vol, tout anticiper.
A mesure que le sol s’éloigne, je me rappelle. Les barbecues aux bords des pistes, les après-midi à voir la France défiler sous les ailes. Les week-end en amoureux en avion. Je sens enfin que le crépuscule touche à sa fin.
J’avais perdu de vue l’esssentiel : la Passion. Je sais à nouveau pour quoi j’étais fait : voler.
Perdre de vue, important, voir indispensable parfois, si c’est pour retrouver ensuite avec passion.
